Powder Brows

Powder Brows is a great option for anyone wanting fuller looking, more defined and perfectly shaped eyebrows.
Ombre Powder Brows is a permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with a soft shaded appearance - similar to powdered makeup. This powdered effect is created with a permanent makeup device (similar to a tattoo machine).
Permanent Makeup has come a long way in recent years with the development of better machines, techniques and pigments - at Body Energy Beauty & Aesthetics only the best pigments are used - Permablend - a brand leader in Permanent Makeup.

Powder Brows can:
Thicken the appearance of over plucked or missing brows
Enhance your brow shape
Add colour & density to your brows
Can ease the stress of smudging brow make up

  • Do not use AHA skincare products close to the enhancement area for 2 weeks proir to (and after) the treatment
  • Leave your eyebrows alone for 2 weeks prior to your appointment i.e no tinting or tweezing
  • Prior to your appointment it is recommended that you think about the look you wish to achieve for your eyebrows. Look to celebrities for inspiration - whether you prefer a high or low arch, rounded or straight brows etc. I will ensure that the correct colour and style will be chosen for you and your individual face shape, however you are a part of the decision making process. Keep in mind that permanent makeup is done to enhance your features so less is often more.

What can i expect during the procudure?

Permanent Makeup is a two step treatment, consisting of an initial treatment followed by the touch up done 4-6 weeks later.

  • When you arrive I will apply the topical anesthetic to the brow area to make the treatment more comfortable. We will then discuss shape and colour. I will take "before" pictures, I will shape, measure and draw the outline to be followed with make up - once you are happy with the shape, thickness and arch placement I will get started with the permanent makeup procedure. After which you will receive an aftercare pack to look after your new eyebrows.
  • The entire procedure will take up to 2 hours - please allow for this time as it is not something you want to rush
  • It is completely normal to experience pigment loss during the healing of your brows - it is therefore crucial to have the touch up.
Some individuals may require more than one touch up procedure.

 How will it look?

  • Immediately after the procedure the treated area (ie the eyebrows and surrounding skin) could be swollen and red. Your brows will appear darker the day after the procedure and will remain darker for uo to 5 days - it will then start to fade, that is why it is crucial to have the touch up done 4-6 weeks following the first treatment as it is difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

How many touch ups are required?

  • Each individuals skin retains pigment differently so it is difficult to determine how many touch ups will be required, however it is usually 1-2 touch ups to get the desired look. Thereafter colour refreshing touch ups are recommended every about 12 months to keep the brows well defined and the colour fresh.

What should I do after the treatment?

  • Keep the area as dry as possible!! Aftercare instructions will be given to you after your appointment. The aftercare is to be followed very carefully as this will determine how long your brow enhancement lasts.

How long will it take to heal?

  • It varies from person to person but it usually takes between 7-10 days for a "crust" to form and slough off leaving behind the healed skin. The pigment takes a bit longer to completely settle into the skin - it is considered healed after 3/4 weeks.
  • Can I guarantee my work?

    •   No, but i can promise that your brows are important to me and i will strive to do the best work I can do in accordance with my experience and training.

What kinds of pigments are used?

  • I only use the very best permanent make up pigments in the industry - Permablend pigments
