What is a skin tag?

- a common harmless (non cancerous) skin growth that often appears on the neck, upper chest, underarms & eyelids What causes skin tags? - When extra skin cells grow on the top layers of the skin - “tags” develop. They tend to develop when skin rubs against itself. Anyone can get skin tags.

 How many Skin Tags can we remove in 1 treatment?

-Up to 20 skin tags can safely be removed in one treatment. If you would like more to be removed another appointment should be booked once those are healed. Is the removal process painful? -During the treatment numbing cream is applied to ensure as little discomfort as possible, however you might experience some sensitivity at the treatment site.

What is the downtime?

-Downtime for this treatment is 3-7 days for the “scabs” to fall off. Pink skin can remain for up to 4 weeks following the treatment as new healthy skin replaces the skin tag/spot. It is crucial to keep sun exposure to a minimum during this time & follow the aftercare advice given to you to avoid hyperpigmentation.

We can remove small (1-2mm) to medium (2-5mm) skin tags from the following areas:

-Face

-Neck

-Chest

-Underarms

We can NOT remove the following skin tags:

-if there is any redness around the skin tag

-skin tags that are painful

-large skin tags (bigger than 5mm)

-skin tags that are an irregular shape or that are much darker than your other skin tags

PLEASE NOTE: There is a possibility of hypo/ hyperpigmentation resulting from the removal treatment, especially in individuals prone to hyperpigmentation. The risk is minimal depending on the size of the area being treated and is further minimised if aftercare instructions are strictly followed.
